Last night I was hit on my motorcycle by a driver who ran a red light. I’ve got some road rash on my hip, and a smashed pointer finger — I am very sore, but I’m glad to be alive.

The Buell is back! And running well! I’m happy to have it back on the road!

I’m very jealous of my nephew Ben. I want to be playing in the snow this morning, and then come in for a cup of hot chocolate!!  —  Save some snow for me Ben!  I’ll be there around X-mas!!    ;-)

Today, I walked out of my doctor’s office and found that someone had backed-up and ran over my Buell XB9S motorcycle… I was so sad to come out and see the bike laying on its side. Just the other day, I was speaking with a good friend about how great of a bike the Buell has been — I had kept it in fantastic shape. It was in perfect running order. It was a pleasure to ride. …Until today.

I really can’t understand how someone can be completely without morals and do a “Hit & Run” like this.

I know the perpetrator is a 6′-0″ tall caucasian man, about 50 years old, with blondish-graying hair. He drives a blue car (something like a Toyota Camry). I know this because he parked his car at the same time I parked my bike, and when I returned, several people told me what happened. Unfortunately, nobody got a license plate number. The Santa Monica police are trying to look at video from a surveillance camera from across the street. I hope something comes of that.

The Buell is running — but not as smoothly as before and every panel has scrapes, is misaligned, or has cosmetic damage. The mirror was broken, and the clutch handle is bent. The handle grip is torn up, and the handlebars are crooked. It’ll probably cost me $2,500.oo or more out of my own pocket just to get it back into the condition that it was in when I left the house this morning, and I know that some of the frame damage will never be able to be repaired.

I hope Karma comes back to this Guy. It really makes me quite sad.

Earlier this year, Brooke “Patoonia” (Busby) Fisher came out to California, and we got a chance to get together for a nice brunch. It was wonderful to see my good friend Brooke!

I love when awesome friends come to visit!!

My good friends Dan & Cari Burns just gave birth to their first child, Thomas Zamidio Burns. He was born on September 23rd at 4pm at Roosevelt Hospital in New York city.

Also, Chad & Jen Mingo had their first Baby, Mackenzie Mingo, on August 29th at 8:08am in Reno, NV. Little Izzie was 7 lbs 10 oz, 20 inches long, and healthy.

I started working this week on a new Film for Warner Brothers Studios, called “Green Lantern”. It’s based on the DC comic book character of the same name. The film should be out in the summer of 2010.

Over the weekend of 08-30-2008 I was in Kentucky for my good friend Sean’s wedding to his beautiful wife Melissa.  The wedding had an aeronautical theme to it, as Sean is a pilot, and it was a fabulous and memorable wedding!
